The audio guided tour is one of the elements of touring Porta Posnania. All interested are invited to tour the Cathedral Island with an audio guide.

We offer the choice of two tours: individual – for adults and youth, and family tour

 

Audio guided tour for families with children

To become a true Cathedral Island explorer all you need is zeal, smile and some free time. So sharpen your eyesight and let the adventure begin ! Fun for the whole family is guaranteed !

The audio guided tour for families with children between 5-10 years of age is available in Polish.

Audio guide tour for adults and youth

The most interesting spots on the Cathedral island will become alive thanks to the stories about the unusual times.

The monuments and places we pass by along the way will become pretexts to stories about people who lived on Cathedral Island over the last 1000 years. The audio guided tour takes you also to the Poznan cathedral where you will learn about the most interesting artifacts and people connected with them.

The audio guided tour for adults and youth is available in Polish, English, German, French, Czech, Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish.

 

Important rules :

  • The audio guided tour can be taken Tuesday – Friday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and on the weekends from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Audio guided tours are available for guests who purchased regular, discount or family tickets and combination ” 3 in 1” Cathedral Island tickets. Tickets for audio guided tours are valid 10 day from the date of the main exposition tour. Separate tickets for only the audio guided tours of the Cathedral Island are available at our cash registers.
  • Please follow the current pandemic guidelines of the National Center of Disease Control and Prevention as well as the Ministry of Health while touring the Cathedral Island and the Poznan cathedral.
  • Due to the current pandemic the number of visitors taking part in the audio guided tours is limited. No advance reservations are taken and guests are served on “first come first served” basis. The operator reserves the right to refuse service.
  • The rented equipment is sterilized according to all standards , however the guests are welcome to use their own headphones if possible. After the tour the equipment must be deposited in designated containers according to the directions of our customer service personnel.
  • In addition to headphones and audio guides the visitors taking family tours receive also the “Explorer`s bag” containing a work book, pen, binoculars and a compass. These gadgets (with the exception of the bag and the work book) must be deposited in the designated container located in the Cathedral Lock building. You are also welcome to purchase your own “Little Explorer`s Bag” in our Porta Posnania gift shop.
  • Due to the works conducted in front of St Mary`s Church some of the audio guided tour stop points may not be available. Please pay attention to the route directions.
